Elche boss Fran Escriba has revealed that he expects to sign "eight or 10 players" in the summer.
Escriba led his side into La Liga last season and has consolidated their position in Spain's leading division this term, with the club currently 14th with just one game remaining.
"Changes will be made with the aim of improving. That's the idea and that's what we'll do. We don't yet know how things will turn out, but those who come will do everything to ensure we have a more competitive squad," Inside Spanish Football quotes the Spaniard as saying.
"We were delayed last summer and now there's more than sufficient time to prepare, given the World Cup and there's much to do. We want to be ambitious within our limitations.
"I'm sure we'll need between eight or 10 players. We're always going to have players on loan, but I'd prefer us to have more players who are directly contracted to the club, because without doing that, every year we so many renewals to arrange and it's like starting from scratch each time."
Elche complete their league campaign against Sevilla on Sunday.
