England will be training on the best pitch in Poland during Euro 2012, according deputy mayor of Krakow, Magdalena Sroka.
FA representatives are due in Krakow this week to determine if work is finished after reports late last year that the fourth division ground was 'a dump'. Sroka is however confident that the England national team will be impressed with the facilities.
"They are promising that we will have the best pitch in Poland – and it looks like this is possible," she said.
"We are finishing – the pitch is already renovated and the grass is growing and it looks very nice – very green."
The English squad will arrive in Krakow in May and will be staying at the 5-star Hotel Stary, which is just off the Main Market Square, before they take on France in their Euro 2012 opener on Monday, June 11.
