Former England striker Alan Shearer has admitted that the final few hours before an international match are the worst.
England take on France in Group D this evening, and Shearer has insisted that the players will just want the match to start.
"These are the worst times I felt as a player. You want to fast forward the last two or three hours and get out there and get a feel for the ball and the pitch," he told the BBC.
Shearer scored 30 goals in 63 games for England.
