Football fans travelling to Poland and Ukraine for the European Championships next summer are expected to be hit with travel disruptions as construction work rushes to be ready for the tournament.
Roadworks, airport terminals and train lines may not be completed in time for the competition, potentially causing disorder for supporters as they travel to and from locations.
UEFA operations director for Euro 2012, Martin Kallen, said: "There is still major work to be done in the next three to four months, especially in transport, from the airports to the stadiums and to the city centres.
"It will be a different Euro. On the football side, we want it to be on the same level or a little better than Austria-Switzerland in 2008. But it will never be on the same level in terms of transport."
The majority of construction projects are due to be completed by April 2.
