Roy Hodgson names Jonjo Shelvey and Nathaniel Clyne in his latest England squad for the games against San Marino and Estonia later this month.

Roy Hodgson has named Nathaniel Clyne and Jonjo Shelvey in his latest England squad, although Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge misses out though injury.

The Three Lions, who began their Euro 2016 qualifying campaign with a 2-0 victory against Switzerland last month, take on Estonia and San Marino in their latest set of fixtures.

Clyne and Shelvey have both enjoyed strong starts to their season for Southampton and Swansea City respectively, and the former is in line for his senior debut, while Shelvey's only previous cap came against San Marino two years ago.

Hodgson confirmed that Sturridge has failed to overcome an injury which he picked up on international duty in September, meanwhile, instead naming just three strikers in his squad.

Rickie Lambert is selected alongside captain Wayne Rooney and Arsenal forward Danny Welbeck, who scored a hat-trick for the Gunners in last night's 4-1 win over Galatasaray.

Luke Shaw and Calum Chambers, both tipped to be selected in the senior fold, were earlier today named in the Under-21 setup, although Hodgson revealed that Chambers may still be called up to the Three Lions' side should there be any injuries in the coming week.

England senior squad in full:

Goalkeepers: Fraser Forster (Southampton), Ben Foster (West Bromwich Albion), Joe Hart (Manchester City)

Defenders: Leighton Baines (Everton), Gary Cahill (Chelsea), Nathaniel Clyne (Southampton), Kieran Gibbs (Arsenal), Phil Jagielka (Everton), John Stones (Everton)

Midfielders: Fabian Delph (Aston Villa), Jordan Henderson (Liverpool), Adam Lallana (Liverpool), James Milner (Manchester City), Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (Arsenal), Jonjo Shelvey (Swansea City), Raheem Sterling (Liverpool), Andros Townsend (Tottenham Hotspur), Jack Wilshere (Arsenal)

Forwards: Rickie Lambert (Liverpool), Wayne Rooney (Manchester United), Daniel Welbeck (Arsenal)
