Eric Dier has revealed his 'disappointment' after England conceded a 92nd-minute equaliser in their Euro 2016 Group B clash with Russia on Saturday night.
Dier's 73rd-minute free kick looked to be securing all the points for England in their opening match of the tournament, but a late equaliser from centre-back Vasili Berezutski secured a point for Russia in the 1-1 draw.
"We are very disappointed. I think we played very well the whole game. To give it away like that is extremely disappointing," Dier told ITV Sport immediately after the match.
"It has not got anything to do with experience. It is disappointing, but we have to pick ourselves up and go again. We can take a lot of positives from the game. I thought we did everything right. We controlled the game, we pressed, we won the ball, we countered. We had it all, but just could not control it at the end."
Next up for England is a clash with group leaders Wales on Thursday afternoon.
