England manager Roy Hodgson has praised Jonjo Shelvey for his performance in their side's Euro 2016 qualifying 6-0 win in San Marino, describing the Swansea City midfielder as "excellent".
On his first England appearance in almost three years, the 23-year-old's display was lauded by those watching the game, capping his shift by creating the fifth goal for substitute Harry Kane.
Hodgson told BBC Sport: "I thought Jonjo showed real maturity out there. We all know what he can do with his passes and with his capacity to find passes, but I also thought he was extremely assured in possession. He was excellent."
Shelvey made his senior England debut from the bench in October 2012, also against San Marino.
