England captain Wayne Rooney has claimed that opposing teams will be "frightened" to face his side following their 4-0 win over Lithuania this evening.
The Three Lions have now won each of their five Euro 2016 qualifiers in Group E and are six points clear of nearest challengers Slovenia and Switzerland.
"I was disappointed with the first one [of two shots that hit the woodwork] and I got a bit of a shove as I hit it," Rooney told ITV Sport. "But I'm happy to score and to get the win, it's a big three points for us.
"Since the World Cup we have been fantastic. We've had some great victories, are scoring goals and we have real energy around the team.
"A lot of teams will be looking at this team around Europe and will be frightened."
Rooney scored his 47th international goal for England to move to within two strikes of Bobby Charlton's all-time record.
