England manager Roy Hodgson paid homage to his players and the Wembley crowd after his side recorded a 5-0 win over San Marino in their Euro 2016 qualifier this evening.
A penalty from Wayne Rooney, an own goal and strikes from Phil Jagielka, Danny Welbeck and Andros Townsend secured the victory that moves England to the top of Group E on goal difference after two straight wins.
"It was a job well done," Hodgson told Sky Sports.
"The crowd were fantastic and we've had an enjoyable night. I can't fault the players for their application. We won it comfortably and added five more to our tally."
England travel to Estonia for their next qualifier on Sunday night.
