England Under-21 striker Nathan Delfouneso is hoping to impress at the European Championships following his call-up to Stuart Pearce's squad.
The Aston Villa forward replaced Callum McManaman following the Wigan Athletic's man injury, after spending the season on loan at Championship side Blackpool for whom he scored seven goals in 44 appearances.
Delfouneso told TheFA.com: "I was very happy to get the call-up as really I wanted to come. Thankfully I have got the opportunity to be involved.
"Now I want to play and try to impress. Hopefully we can all come back having had a successful tournament.
"This is a massive tournament and a big opportunity for everyone. We're all really excited about next week and our first game, everyone's up for it and the spirit around the camp is really good."
England's first game of the tournament in Israel is against Italy on June 5.
