England have recorded their lowest ranking since February 2001 by falling three places to 17th in the FIFA world rankings.
The list was published today following the Three Lions' World Cup qualifiers, in which they beat Moldova and secured a point against Ukraine.
Chile and USA have overtaken England in the rankings, while Wales have dropped six places to 52nd and Northern Ireland have climbed 23 spots to 86th.
The Republic of Ireland, who are searching for a new manager following the dismissal of Giovanni Trapattoni, have slipped five places to 59th.
