Goalkeeper Joe Hart has revealed that interim boss Gareth Southgate has created an "enjoyable" environment among the England squad.
After a dismal Euro 2016 campaign, England have recorded 10 points from their four World Cup qualifiers with Southgate claiming two wins and a draw since replacing Sam Allardyce.
Despite the recent upheaval in managers, Hart has praised Southgate for the impact he has had on the team during his spell in temporary charge.
The 29-year-old told reporters: "It's been really enjoyable [with Gareth Southgate in charge]. It has been cool and calm and that has transferred to the players.
"We are trying to express ourselves. We have got a really good squad wanting to work for each other."
England are next in action when they host Spain at Wembley Stadium on Tuesday night.
