England manager Roy Hodgson believes that forward Andy Carroll will always warrant a place in international football.
Carroll has not featured in an England squad since October, but after impressing for West Ham United since the turn of the year, Hodgson has insisted that the 24-year-old's inclusion gives his side extra options.
The former Fulham boss told reporters: "Since Andy has come back from injury, he has always been very much in our thoughts.
"I think he is the type of player that gives us another dimension, and gives us other possibilities if we decide to use them.
"I'm not concerned about his playing style. I think there is always going to be room for a forward of his class."
The former Newcastle United player has scored seven goals in 23 appearances for the Hammers this season.
