Roy Hodgson has spoken of his happiness at being appointed the new manager of England.
The 64-year-old agreed a four-year contract with the Football Association earlier today, which has seen him take over the role that was vacated by Fabio Capello in February.
"It is a very proud day for me and I'm very happy man to manage my country," Hodgson told reporters.
"I'm hoping that everybody within the country will get behind the team because it is the team that will win matches."
Hodgson will see out the remainder of the season with West Bromwich Albion before taking control of the Three Lions.
