England boss Roy Hodgson has refused to rule out an international recall for Stoke City striker Michael Owen.
Owen, 32, made his debut for the Potters against Manchester City on Saturday in his first match since playing for Manchester United last November.
The striker has not played for England in more than four years, but Hodgson has seemingly suggested that he might consider Owen should he hit a run of form.
"I can only wish Michael Owen well. I like Michael Owen. Like all football lovers, I admire what he has done in the past. He has had a wonderful career," he told Sky Sports News.
"It is disappointing that he has not played as many games as he would like over the past few years. Now hopefully he is going to get the chance and as I have said I can only wish him well."
Owen has scored 40 goals for England.
