Stoke City have announced that goalkeeper Jack Butland has suffered a broken finger while on international duty with England.
In the build-up to their friendlies with Germany and Brazil, England have been hit by a number of withdrawals and the latest injury has led to Butland becoming the seventh player to pull out of Gareth Southgate's squad.
Butland had been hoping to make an impression on the international stage, with his appearances being limited in the past 18 months due to a broken ankle.
However, the Potters stopper has made 11 outings in the Premier League this season, while the 24-year-old was also handed a start against Lithuania last month.
Southgate has now been left to choose from Joe Hart and Jordan Pickford, with Southampton goalkeeper Fraser Forster having been dropped for the Wembley double-header.
