Florent Malouda has claimed that France can surprise everyone at the European Championships after his side defeated Germany in Wednesday's friendly.
The Chelsea midfielder scored during the 2-1 victory in Bremen and believes that the triumph is a sign of how far France have come since their first-round elimination at the 2010 World Cup.
Malouda admits that Laurent Blanc's side are confident ahead of the June 11 opener against England in Donetsk.
The 31-year-old said: "Germany are a superior team to England, yet we beat them.
"We can surprise the entire world if we carry on in this way.
"We must not get big-headed as we have gone out in the first round at the last two tournaments."
France have gone 18 games unbeaten under Blanc.
