Wayne Rooney was full of praise for the England team, and in particular Jack Wilshere, after their 3-2 victory over Slovenia.
The England captain scored a late winner, while Wilshere hit the back of the net with two impressive long-range shots, to cancel out goals from Milivoje Novakovic and Nejc Pecnik.
"It's great to score the winner but it was a great team performance," Rooney told BBC Sport. "We came out on the front foot for the second half and Jack Wilshere scored two great goals."
"I have formed a good partnership with Jack and hopefully he stays injury free for us now. We have made a lot of progress since the World Cup."
Rooney's winner was his 48th goal for his country, taking him joint second in the England all-time scorers list.
