Crystal Palace winger Andros Townsend has reportedly moved into contention for a recall to the England squad.
Townsend has scored three times in 13 outings for the Three Lions, but the last of those caps was earned back in October 2016.
However, according to The Mirror, Southgate is considering whether to hand Townsend another chance at international level after an impressive campaign with Palace.
The 27-year-old has scored a number of eye-catching goals, and a total of strikes have come from 35 appearances in all competitions this season.
Southgate went to watch Townsend in action against Burnley at the weekend, but the wideman was only used off the substitutes' bench.
