Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy has branded his goal for England against Germany 'the high point of his season'.
The 29-year-old came off the bench against the world champions on Saturday night to equalise, before Eric Dier netted a stoppage-time winner for England in their 3-2 success in Berlin.
Vardy's 19 league goals have taken Leicester to the top of the Premier League this season, but the forward has admitted that netting his first international goal was the icing on the cake.
"Yes I think it is [the high point of his season]," Vardy told ITV Sport. "I was trying to make impact, I've done that and we won the game. I just wanted to get across near post, get something on it and tried a back heel. Luckily it went in."
England will continue their Euro 2016 preparations with a friendly against Netherlands on Tuesday night.
