Manchester City star Micah Richards unsubscribes from Twitter following racist abuse.

Racist abuse has forced England and Manchester City defender Micah Richards to shut down his Twitter account.

The Manchester City defender had asked police to investigate racist tweets on the social networking site, before he deciding to close the @officialMR2 account.

Djibril Cisse, Louis Saha and Frazier Campbell have also been victims of reported racial abuse on the site.

Police investigations are thought to be ongoing.
