Espanyol goalkeeper Kiko Casilla has admitted his delight after gaining a call-up to the latest Spain squad.
The stopper was handed the call by La Roja boss Vicente del Bosque last week for the upcoming matches against France and Macedonia.
"I don't know if I'll play but I come with the idea of training and learning," Casilla told AS.
"I am very happy to be here. I want to enjoy it and learn. I never expected this call.
"You work for your team and this is the reward. It happens once in a lifetime and you have to seize it. There is a very good level of Spanish goalkeepers. There are goalkeepers for a while."
Casilla was linked with both Real Madrid and Barcelona earlier this summer, but remained at Espanyol.
