Former Watford boss Quique Flores has been confirmed as the new manager of Espanyol on a three-year deal.
Flores became the first manager to ever keep Watford in the Premier League last season, but a severe dip in form over the second half of the campaign cost him his job at Vicarage Road.
He has now replaced Constantin Galca as the head coach of Espanyol, though, returning to Spanish football after just one season away.
Flores has previously managed in La Liga with Getafe, Valencia and Atletico Madrid, steering the latter to Europa League glory in 2010.
The 51-year-old former Real Madrid player will be unveiled to the media on Monday having signed a deal that will keep him at the club until 2019.
