Espanyol have reportedly been 'priced out' of a move for Fiorentina striker Mario Gomez.
The German international, who is currently in action at Euro 2016, spent the 2015-16 campaign on loan at Besiktas - hitting 28 goals in 41 appearances for the Turkish giants.
Gomez is now back with parent club Fiorentina and according to AS, Espanyol wanted to sign the experienced forward, but are likely to miss out due to the cost of the deal.
The 30-year-old, who has also been linked with a move to West Ham United, joined Fiorentina from Bayern Munich in the summer of 2013.
