Espanyol striker Felipe Caicedo could reportedly return to the Premier League this month as he prepares to depart his Spanish club.
The Ecuador international represented Manchester City between 2008 and 2011, but only managed four Premier League goals for the club.
The forward has since forged a successful career elsewhere, however, and has netted 19 times for Espanyol since moving to the Barcelona-based side in 2014.
According to The Mirror, two Chinese clubs are prepared to activate the 27-year-old's release clause, which stands at just shy of £8m, but West Ham United and Swansea City are also said to be monitoring developments.
Caicedo has netted seven times in 20 games for Espanyol this season.
