Wales and Everton defender Ashley Williams has revealed that he suffered a collapsed lung during Tuesday's international friendly against Mexico.
The Wales skipper was forced off after just 17 minutes of the match in Los Angeles and was taken to hospital amid fears that he could have broken one of his ribs.
However, the 33-year-old has now revealed that the injury is more serious than first thought and he will now remain in the United States after undergoing surgery on the problem.
Wales held on for a goalless draw in Pasadena.
