Everton have reportedly agreed to appoint Carlo Ancelotti as their new manager.
While caretaker boss Duncan Ferguson has guided the Toffees to four points from games against Chelsea and Manchester United, the Scot has indicated that he does not want to be considered for the full-time position.
That has led to Everton being linked with a number of high-profile names, including Ancelotti who was sacked as Napoli boss last week.
Despite the Merseyside outfit stating on Monday evening that they have not reached an agreement with any candidates, Sky Sports News claims that Ancelotti is on the brink of arriving at Goodison Park.
There have been contrasting reports regarding Ancelotti's current whereabouts, but it is said that the 60-year-old could be appointed as the successor to Marco Silva by Wednesday.
Ancelotti has previously managed Chelsea, winning the Premier League title during the 2009-10 campaign.
