Jermaine Jenas has claimed that Everton's players must take some of the responsibility for the team's drop in form.
The Toffees slumped to a 2-0 defeat at Stoke City, thanks to goals from Victor Moses and Mame Biram Diouf.
The result leaves Everton with 28 points from 28 games, their worst points total since the formation of the Premier League, and Jenas believes that the Goodison Park outfit have "issues all over the pitch" to contend with.
He told BBC Sport: "Who is playing well in that Everton side? The manager is playing the same system from last season, when they did play well.
"There are issues all over the pitch, which accumulate and result in some bad, bad performances.
"You can put this all at the door of Roberto Martinez but the players need to take some responsibility too."
Everton's next game sees them host Dynamo Kiev in the first leg of their Europa League last 16 clash.
