Marouane Fellaini has called on Everton to splash the cash on signings in the summer transfer window.
The Merseyside club have been known to be cautious in the spending market, particularly last summer, when they failed to bring in additional players to Goodison Park.
Despite a well-documented lack of funds for the Toffees, the 24-year-old midfielder is hopeful that chairman Bill Kenwright will provide manager David Moyes with enough money to strengthen the squad.
"I would love for us to get in some reinforcements," said Fellaini. "It would make us more competitive. I hope that the chairman will be able to loosen the purse-strings during the summer."
The Belgium international penned a five-year deal with Everton in November, dispelling doubts over his future in the North West.
