Thomas Hitzlsperger has revealed that Everton are in positive spirits ahead of their trip to West Ham United in the Premier League this weekend.
The 30-year-old returns to Upton Park for the first time on Saturday since he left for Wolfsburg in summer 2011.
"We go there quite positive because we have not lost many games in 2012," Hitzlsperger told Everton's official website. "We'll go there and try to win the game even though they are a good side.
"They aren't as direct as Stoke - there's no team like Stoke in this league. West Ham try to play more football but we will be prepared for a physical battle."
Hitzlsperger spent just one season with the Hammers following a move from Lazio.
