Everton goalkeeper Tim Howard has claimed that he will keep his "fingers crossed" that teammate Leon Osman gets his first England cap this evening.
The 31-year-old is expected to make his Three Lions debut tonight in a friendly against Sweden in Stockholm, and Howard has admitted that he was "delighted" for his teammate.
"Fingers crossed he gets an England cap because there have been a heck of a lot less deserving guys down the years to get caps," Howard told the club's official website.
"He's just so fantastic and he's been a rock for this club. I was delighted for him; so, so happy."
Meanwhile, Liverpool youngster Raheem Sterling and Tottenham Hotspur's Steven Caulker are also expected to receive his first senior England cap.
