Everton captain Phil Jagielka has claimed that Aaron Lennon can hit the ground running at his new club because he is well acquainted with a number of players at Goodison Park.
The 27-year-old joined the Toffees from Tottenham Hotspur on a deadline-day loan deal until the end of the season and was the club's only January transfer window signing.
Jagielka told The Liverpool Echo: "Quite a few of the boys know [Lennon], whether by playing in the Under-21s or senior side with England.
"Some of us have played against him quite a few times as well. So he has settled in easy enough. Aaron is not a particularly quiet lad and when he came in, he went to speak to everyone.
"But it is nice when you come to a new club that you do know three or four friendly faces. They in turn can introduce you to three or four more of the lads and so on."
Lennon is ineligible for Everton's next game, in the Europa League against Young Boys on Thursday, but is expected to feature against Leicester City at the weekend.
