Phil Jagielka has admitted that Everton's lack of consistency in the Premier League this season has been "frustrating".
The Toffees were in danger of being dragged into the relegation battle before picking up 16 points from a run of six matches, leaving a 10th-place finish a possibility.
The club's captain, who claimed three honours at the team's end of season awards, told ESPN: "It has been a frustrating season. We have played some really good football and really average football as well and it has been a case of us not finding the consistency of last season.
"We have one more game to go. We hope to finish off well and look at where things went wrong for most of the season and then hopefully address it for the start of next."
