The agent of Southampton boss Ronald Koeman has confirmed that he has opened talks with Everton over the possibility of becoming the club's new manager.
Koeman is thought to be top of the Toffees' list of candidates to replace Roberto Martinez this summer after the Spaniard was fired following a disappointing campaign.
Everton finished 11th in the table, five places below Southampton, who ended the season in sixth with 63 points - both club records in the Premier League.
Everton are reportedly willing to offer Koeman a lucrative deal in order to entice him to Goodison Park, and BBC Sport reports that his agent has confirmed negotiations have now begun.
However, the report also says that the Dutchman, who has just one year remaining on his current deal at St Mary's, has not yet spoken to Everton himself.
The likes of David Moyes, Manuel Pellegrini and Frank de Boer have also been linked with the Goodison Park post.
