Everton manager Roberto Martinez praised his side's character after they snatched a last-gasp draw away to local rivals Liverpool on Saturday.
Toffees captain Phil Jagielka struck a stunning stoppage-time equaliser to cancel out Steven Gerrard's free kick, and the Blues boss was delighted with his side's response at Anfield.
He told reporters: "I don't think we played how we can, but It was a test of character. We had determination, we wouldn't accept defeat and we kept fighting.
"This is most pleasing result we have had this season and it will help us going forward. I've not seen a strike from Phil Jagielka like that."
Everton travel to Manchester United in the Premier League next Sunday.
