Everton manager Roberto Martinez has hailed Ronald Koeman's "influence" ahead of his side's meeting with Southampton on Saturday.
The Toffees face a Saints side who have struggled of late following five Premier League matches without a win and on Tuesday, they were knocked out of the Capital One Cup by Sheffield United.
"I don't assess Southampton in their current moment of form," Martinez told reporters. "I assess them over what they have done all season. They are a joy to watch. They are based on attacking football and full of flair.
"I really like watching Southampton and they are a team who can compete for the top six. I know how good Ronald Koeman is as a manager. His football influence is unique and huge."
Everton are five points behind fifth-placed Southampton in the league table.
