Former Birmingham City forward James McFadden has promised Everton fans that he will prove his worth after resigning for the club.
The 28-year-old, who was initially believed to be closing in on a move to Celtic, made the switch to Goodison Park on Monday.
The Scotland international, who will remain at the Merseyside club until the end of the season, has admitted that he wants to "grab the chance" of playing in the Premier League again.
"It is up to me to grab the chance and to show a bit of faith in the manager and show the fans I am good enough to play for Everton again," McFadden said.
"You get criticism in everything you do but I need to prove to myself I can come back and do as well if not better than before."
The forward suffered a cruciate knee injury in September last year.
