David Moyes questions officials after draw

Everton manager David Moyes reveals his disappointment with the officials after his side's 2-2 draw with Newcastle United.

David Moyes has admitted that he was disappointed with the decision to not award his Everton side a goal during the draw with Newcastle United on Monday evening.

The Toffees were held to a 2-2 draw at Goodison Park but were also denied a second half goal by the officials, despite Victor Anichebe's effort crossing the line.

"I think it's a difficult call for them but if you're the linesman you're on the line and you'd hope you'd see if the ball went over the line," Moyes told Sky Sports News. "That's their job. He's looking right along so you'd hope he would see it."

Although Moyes was clearly frustrated with the result, he insisted that there are plenty of positives to take from Everton's performance.

"We know we can do better and we'll try and do it but we think there's a lot of positives in our play tonight. It's just disappointing we could have taken all three points," he added.

Everton are now seventh in the Premier League, while Newcastle currently occupy 11th position.
