Everton manager David Moyes has admitted that he is pleased with his side's seventh-placed finish in the Premier League table.
A 3-1 win over Newcastle United on Sunday made sure that the Toffees finished above local rivals Liverpool in the standings for the first time since 2005.
"We have finished in a decent league position," Moyes told Sky Sports News.
"I would hope that people will put in perspective where we have been and what we are trying to do. Maybe our league position is a good one in the end."
The Scot is expected to speak to chairman Bill Kenwright over the summer about his future at the club.
