Everton manager David Moyes has revealed that he expects to begin negotiations over a new contract in the New Year.
The 49-year-old's current deal at Goodison Park is due to expire at the end of the season.
"I would probably wait until we have got over January and see how things go," said Moyes.
"I want to see what we're going to do and where the club are looking to move to in the future - that's what I'm really looking for.
"It's probably going to be after the New Year before [we begin talks]."
Moyes took charge of the Toffees in March 2002.
