Everton striker Oumar Niasse is among five players not be handed shirt numbers for the upcoming season.
The 26-year-old became the club's most expensive signing when he joined in January for £13.5m from Lokomotiv Moscow under former manager Roberto Martinez.
However, he played just 152 minutes in the first team and it appears that new boss Ronald Koeman does not have the forward in his plans.
As well as Niasse, Leandro Rodriguez, Conor McAleny, Aiden McGeady and Luke Garbutt were not included in the initial shirt allocation for the 2016-17 campaign.
Meanwhile, new signing Idrissa Gueye has been handed the number 17 shirt after Mohamed Besic decided to switch to 21, while Ross Barkley will now wear number eight.
The midfielder, who made his senior debut for Everton in 2010, had previously worn the 20 shirt, but he has now swapped with Bryan Oviedo.
Youngsters Tom Davies and Kieran Dowell have been upgraded to numbers 26 and 28 respectively.
