Everton midfielder Leon Osman has admitted that he was "disappointed" to have spent the early stages of the season out of the team.
The 33-year-old, who played in every Premier League game last season, did not earn a starting spot under Roberto Martinez this term until late September.
A foot injury suffered in December kept him on the sidelines for around three months, but the midfielder has seen more game time as the season has progressed.
"Having played in most games last season, I was disappointed not to play in more of the first 10 games this season," the Liverpool Echo quotes Osman as saying. "I was fit but was only selected in maybe four or five of them.
"When I got the injury I couldn't argue but I've worked hard to get back fit and back in the team so it's positive again."
Everton are currently 13th in the league table.
