Everton midfielder Leon Osman has insisted that he will never turn his back on the possibility of playing for England in the future.
While the 31-year-old understands that he is unlikely to represent his nation, the Toffees' player has claimed that he would relish the chance to compete in Roy Hodgson's side.
"I wouldn't say I have accepted getting called up for England is going to elude me," the Daily Star quotes Osman as saying.
"As you start to get 30-plus, the chances start to diminish, but, as an English lad, you still keep going for your club and if it ever happens that would be great."
Meanwhile, the midfielder is expected to start for Everton tonight as they prepare to take on Newcastle United at Goodison Park.
