Everton forward Wayne Rooney has admitted that his third goal against West Ham United on Wednesday is one of the best goals of his career.
Rooney had already given the Toffees a 2-0 lead before he completed his hat-trick by netting with a first-time strike from the halfway line after a poor clearance from goalkeeper Joe Hart.
The goal marked Rooney's first-ever hat-trick for his boyhood club, and the club captain has said that he was delighted to mark the achievement with such a memorable goal.
The 32-year-old told BT Sport: "It's one of, if not, the best goal I've scored. I hit it as well as I've ever kicked a football. To make it my first hat-trick for Everton, I'm delighted."
Everton went on to win by a 4-0 scoreline at Goodison Park, a result which takes the Merseyside outfit into 13th place in the Premier League table.
