Everton are reportedly lining up a bid of up to £17.5m for Roma forward Cengiz Under when the transfer window reopens.
Toffees boss Carlo Ancelotti is understood to have identified a number of Serie A players for the club to target this summer, including some he used to manage at previous club Napoli.
Roma's Under is another name thought to be on the list, with reports suggesting that Everton are now leading the race for his signature, and Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport claims that they are lining up an approach of €15m to €20m (£13.1m to £17.5m).
The asking price is significantly lower than the €40m (£35m) Roma were demanding last summer, when the 22-year-old was being linked with the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
The coronavirus pandemic has played a major role in that value drop, although Under has also endured an underwhelming 2019-20 campaign, with a mixture of form and fitness limiting him to just 20 appearances across all competitions.
