Everton have offered a new contract to Luke Garbutt in a bid to avoid losing the defender when his contract expires in the summer.
Garbutt is highly rated by the coaching staff at Goodison Park, but the left-back has only been given rare opportunities due to being behind Leighton Baines and Bryan Oviedo in the pecking order.
The 21-year-old, who has played four times for Roberto Martinez's side this season, has been in talks with the club for a number of months, and the Liverpool Echo claims that an offer is on the table.
Everton would be due compensation if Garbutt were to join another club in the summer, but the Toffees are believed to be keen to secure his services for the foreseeable future.
