Everton have reportedly set their sights on signing Wolverhampton Wanderers duo Conor Coady and Pedro Neto, if they can secure Nuno Espirito Santo as their next manager.
Talks between Nuno and Crystal Palace broke down earlier this month and that has seemingly strengthened Everton's position to appoint the Portuguese as Carlo Ancelotti's successor.
Wolves captain Coady was an integral part of the side that Nuno guided to Premier League promotion in 2018, and Neto helped the club to a second-consecutive seventh-placed finish during his debut season at Molineux in the 2019-20 campaign.
Football Insider reports that Everton will make a double offer to Wolves for the duo, and the Toffees are hoping that Nuno's influence will be able to lure Coady and Neto to the club.
It is likely that Everton will have to spend big money to persuade Wolves to sell, as Coady has four years left on his contract and the West Midlands club paid £16m for Neto in 2019.
Neto has made 79 appearances for Wolves since arriving two seasons ago, while Coady is a longer-standing servant to the club having joined in 2015 and gone on to make 275 appearances for Wolves. body check tags ::
