Everton have rejected a bid from Leicester City for striker Jermaine Beckford.
The 27-year-old, who joined the Toffees from Leeds in 2010, has been of interest to Leicester City throughout the summer.
Despite the Foxes offering a bid in the region of £3m for the frontman, the Merseyside club have turned away their advances, according to BBC Radio Leicester.
It is believed that Leicester manager Sven-Goran Eriksson will return with an improved offer before the transfer window closes on August 31.
