Everton have completed the signing of goalkeeper Robin Olsen on a season-long loan from Roma.
The 30-year-old arrives at Goodison Park to provide more competition for Jordan Pickford, who made the latest in a string of errors during Everton's 4-1 win over Brighton & Hove Albion at the weekend.
Olsen spent last season out on loan at Cagliari, having fallen down the pecking order at the Stadio Olimpico following the arrival of Pau Lopez.
The 6ft 5in shot-stopper has won 38 caps for Sweden and was a key member of their run to the quarter-finals of the 2018 World Cup, where they were beaten by Pickford's England.
Olsen is Everton's sixth signing of the summer and second of deadline following the arrival of Ben Godfrey.
The Swede will now look to battle Pickford for the number one spot in an in-form Everton team which sits top of the Premier League table after four games.
