Everton boss David Moyes is reportedly planning a bid for Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Kevin Doyle.
Doyle scored 36 goals in 86 appearances during his previous two Championship campaigns with Reading and, following the sale of Steven Fletcher to Sunderland, Wolves are desperate to keep hold of their most experienced goalscorer.
Manager Stale Solbakken said: "I have not heard anything about Doyle leaving and hopefully he will stay."
According to The Mirror, Moyes is a long-term admirer of Doyle and he is willing to make an offer for the 28-year-old despite Wolves' reluctance to sell.
Aston Villa are also said to be interested in the player.
